What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a noninvasive orthodontics treatment that shifts crooked teeth into an ideal alignment using clear plastic aligners. Because the Invisalign aligners are clear, most people won’t notice you’re wearing them. They create desirable results discreetly. 

How does Invisalign work?

Your dentist custom-creates Invisalign aligners to the shape and contours of your teeth. They do so by digitally scanning your teeth and sending the results to a dental lab. You simply wear the aligners for 20-22 hours daily, taking them out to brush your teeth, floss, and eat. Every week or two, you typically switch to another set of aligners in your series until you complete orthodontics treatment. 

Treatment often lasts 6-18 months, but individualized treatment times vary from person to person.  

After each treatment, you may wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their desirable alignment. Continue to take good care of your teeth by brushing after meals, flossing daily, and visiting C and C dental for your professional cleaning dental exam at least every six months.
