Wait, you can go to the dentist for hair restoration? Turns out, you can! Read on to find out how our hair restoration services can benefit you.

When you visit the dentist, you usually expect to walk out with a sparkling new smile.

But what if you could also walk out with a new head of hair that makes your smile even bigger?

While the transformation doesn’t happen in just one visit, here at C & C Dental in Sugar Land, Texas, we’re proud to offer hair restoration services. We’re a full-service general, cosmetic, and aesthetics dental practice.

Here’s what you need to know about our hair restoration services:

Do you need hair restoration?

If you’re experiencing hair loss or thinning hair, you may worry about your appearance, leading to confidence issues. The goal of hair restoration is to encourage faster hair growth, resulting in fuller, thicker hair that’s both vibrant and healthy.

With hair restoration, improvement in your appearance can also bring about improvement in your self-confidence.

How does the hair restoration process work?

Our team at C & C Dental offers platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair loss. During your appointment, an aesthetics specialist performs a blood draw and processes the sample in a centrifuge to obtain a vial of platelet-rich plasma.

They then inject PRP into the areas of your scalp you want to target for hair restoration.

Using the body’s natural healing abilities, PRP promotes cell regeneration. PRP is full of growth factors. When injected into your scalp, it stimulates natural hair growth and even increases that growth by ramping up the blood supply to your hair follicles.

This process helps increase the thickness of the hair shaft, leading to healthier hair.

No two people (or heads) are the same, but you likely need several injections in your target areas. Each injection should take just a minute or two.

What can you expect from hair restoration?

Immediately after your treatment, your scalp may be slightly red, tender, and swollen, but you should be able to resume your daily activities right away.

For best results, your specialist is likely to recommend a series of treatments. Everyone’s case is different, however, so talk with them about your customized plan.

It usually takes a couple of months to see results. First, you should see a decrease in hair shedding. That’s followed by early regrowth of your hair and then increased hair length.

For best results, try to minimize stress, eat a healthy diet, and make sure your hormones are balanced. The process works for both men and women experiencing hair loss.

When you’re ready to explore hair restoration, our husband-and-wife team of Dr. Tim Cashion and Dr. Teresa Cody is ready to help. To make an appointment, call our office at 281-242-0241 or book your visit online today.
